1. if i had 100 dollars to start, i practically start at nothing. i will only spend 1 penny for a month of hosting to hostgator, $8.41 for a whole year domain to namecheap and then i would need an autoresponder. aweber gives 30 day trial but if i needed to subscribe for one month i would spend 20 dollars.

   Since i need to sell by day 15, i would have to use a free html editor and create a squeeze page like NVU. since i need a membership site to actually get people to sign up to my membership site and get paid sign ups, i would either get a software for free like membership juggernaut or already get one free license to memberspeed for my only domain. set the membership site and also get the squeeze page finished and then connect it with my autoresponder. then i would write a report or get plr on my niche site as a free gift and give it away. OR i would give out free memberships to my niche site and sell the paid membership as an OTO where people can upgrade. either way, the most important thing is to build a list right away, then i can just educate and promote at the same time. now for traffic, since i spent 30 dollars on all of this.

   I still have 70 dollars to spend. i dont think i have to spend it all. i can use free traffic by creating squidoo lenses. then i would get a 7 day trial to SENUKE separately since this software will submit a spunned article to blogger, hubpages, ezinearticles, wordpress and more so that i can get ranked for my niche keywords in the search engines. it also allows you to socially bookmark your website to digg and other sites, which is pretty much free traffic. But the fastest to way to get traffic is to sign up for lots of giveaways. then just promote the giveaways by free traffic tactics mentioned previously.

   also, i will spend 1 dollar for 7 day trial to video post robot which can submit a video to 30 plus video sites. since i have to produce a tutorial sample video, i can use camstudio to make the tutorials. if i dont have the camstudio, i can always search and get it for free from giveaways since im still starting from scratch.

   i would also, get a wordpress blog on my domain and that is another traffic i can use to submit to blog directories. so i spent about 30 dollars for all of this. i will spend 10 dollars on one month to US free ads and then i will just make solo ads also for my squeeze page. that leaves me with 59 dollars. i can also sign up for craiglist and post ads.

   with the rest of the money, i will probably use some of the money for adwords and set a daily budget for one day. and then track my one URL with a tracking tool such as one url tracking free from conversion prophet (tracking device) that i got. also, i will use part of the 59 dollars to find content plr so i can provide members with quality content for books or other information that will teach them. but most likely i can just use videos.

   for sure, by day 15, i would already generated traffic from all these tactics and action plans and hopefully membership sale sign ups.

   OK, something should be clear right from the start. Don, I removed your comment because you are not answering the question in any way.

   The question is very precise:

   “If you were to start from scratch with NO list, NO JV partners in your niche, and all you have is $100 capital, what would you do to start making sales for your niche membership site within just 15 days?”

   We are asking people to provide CREATIVE and step by step plan to show how they will prosper this business. If you want the gift you should prove that you deserve it.

   The answer you provided is “How YOU plan to win the CONTEST” and not how you’ll make this business prosper within 15 days.

   If you are waiting for others to type their answers and then copy only the best ideas and provide them as if they were your own, we’ll know and we won’t consider it.

   Those kind of tricks won’t work. Instead of constantly focusing on how to get rid of the competition and thinking only of yourself, try to be big hearted and type something useful that will help all other people to succeed.

   The only way to win this contest is to give first. Show that you are sincere and you want to help others. Help the newbies who are reading this post right now by showing they also can REALLY run a profitable business without spending thousands of dollars on expensive courses!

3. My process would be;
   Select a broad niche.
   Keyword research to identify a reasonably narrow niche.
   Extended keyword research to identify as many long tail keywords as possible.
   Next step locate a high quality plr product with an emphasis on an excellent sales page and must include an autoresponder series.
   Cost will be up to $50.00.
   Review and alter the product to make it my own, and identify suitable extracts to use for article and social marketing, and develop at least 5 different “titles” for each article.
   The objective would be to have around 20 articles that are based around the PLR product.
   Return to keyword research and match up articles with suitable keywords. Make keyword groups of around 10-20 in order of priority to use as tags and keywords in article and social marketing campaigns.
   Choose one focal keyword, and 3 to 5 others as supporting keywords.
   The choice of these keywords will be a combination of popularity, google competition, google competition useing “alintitle” searching. These will be achieved from a free tool I happen to have located from acompany called “IM BuZZ”.
   The balance of my keyword research will be done useing google’s free keyword tool and will be used to confirm the above as well as to develop an understanding of how much investment there is in my proposed keywords.
   This will help to determine the commercial viability of the keywords.
   My final keyword research will be at another free site;

   which gives an indication of commercial viability for keywords and phrases.
   I will submit 2 articles per day for 5 days to Ezine articles. This is critical to get underway from day 1 or 2 at the latest as there will be a lag time in them being approved and published. will not do more than 3 in a day as this may make me look like a spammer.
   My articles will all have a link to my blog in the signature.
   The keywords I use for Ezine articles will be based on ones that THEY already rank well in google with. I will use a free report from the Rhodes Brothers on dominating Ezine articles.
   There will be little point in pursuing this after 4 or 5 days as the articles will not be published in time for the end of this objective.
   I would at the same time be setting up 1 to 2 “Hub Pages” per day, and continue this for 8-10 days. I can only use 2 links to my own site in these pages so I will point them to seperate and relative pages on my blog.
   I will buy a domain name linked with my No. keyword, if neccessary by adding a series of numbers at the end. Have the domain hosted at hostgater and install a wordpress blog. Cost less than $20.00
   Useing a free report I located on creating a business not a blog, I will optimize the blog and start making my posts which will be related to my articles and will be no more than 400 words. I will not publish anything until I have at least 20 articles covering 4 or 5 categories based on my keyword research.
   Most of my posts will be optimised for my No. 1 keyword, however my top 4 to 5 keywords will also be prominent throughout the posts.
   I will provide 2 giveaways on the blog, one for my PLR product which will be priced at $47.00 and require a special code to get for free which will only be available to those that provide name and email address.
   I will also make a mini course out of my PLR product that will be free and naturally will require sign up.
   Both options will have OTO to join my monthly membership.
   By now we are at the end of the first week, the blog is published and we have spent $70-00.
   I will now sign up for my 7 day trial with SE Nuke (sorry this is not a copy, I have actually purchased the product).
   I will spin the articles and start submitting to social websites.
   Similarly my bookmarking program will commence with SE Nuke.
   I will also use the services of a video producer to develop a 1 to 2 minute video that I will post to you tube and then submit via SE Nuke.
   The video will cost $20-00 and will be designed to create a Buzz about my new blog, and of course will be targeted to my no. 1 keyword.
   I will then search the net to find a coupon for google and or yahoo PPC advertising. These are normally $50.00 coupons and you have to deposit $5-00 to activate it.
   So my final push would be to implement 2 limited PPC campaigns on long tail keywords to maximise the result.

   I am sorry that I have not provided any startling new creative concepts, I have never put into practice what I have just written, although I am currently going through the steps. I think and hope that I have done my research over the past year or so and hope that I have not provided any misleading info.

4. Hi, and thank you for the opppertunity.

   I would start with a lot of free old-fashioned hard work of digging and using the several availible niche tools out there. Ebay hottest, google traffic stats, MSN and Yahoo all have places to see what the demand is in the marketplaces.

   After having found some possible product niches, I would carefully look at what is currently online. Examine the sales pages, offers, promotions etc. I would then check each of there Alexa ranks, and google ranks to see who was pulling the best and most converting traffic, again with all of the many free Metric tools availible. I would use this info to further narrow my topic and use these sites as examples of copy for my own pages.
   I would then find a PLR site with a low cost package where I could mine for articles in my niche. I think I have seen some for as low as $27.00 with many articles availble.
   I would take these and distill 4-5 of these articles into 1 large article on my chosen niche. I would then take that article and re-write is to make a 1/3 sized synopsis for a use somewhere else. I would also construct this large article to look like 3 different but related topics with separate titles.
   Using the several free and Trial keyword research tools availble I would focus these article to the best combinations of keywords and long-tail phrases including the Title and resources areas.
   Using a free HTML builder I would design a squeeze page to my large article stating that it is really 3 articles on my niche.
   Using my keyword and article data I would purchase a Domain name that has direct relation to my niche and products.
   I would submit the smaller version of the Main article to several Article Directories like E-zine, and Article Directory for publication with my links to my domain and keywords in the resources areas.
   My squeeze page would have my Main Keywords as a title and used throughout. I would need a capture page for E-mail Addresses and Name which I can get for little or no cost in many places. This would be tied to an autoresponder for the 3 pages needed (main page, thank you, and download)
   I would build a redirect page to the Download of the product with the first 2/3 of the page inviting the customer to join a membership site for continued products and information. This could be low or no cost depending on the niche and subsequent product availilbility.
   Then I would find 2-3 Giveaways that are coming up and join as a contributor. I would enter ones that had a low cost upgrade (below $20.00) and subscribe to them. I would try for 1 that is High profile and short term, 1 that is long-term ( dec 31) and one that has a relatively well known marketer associated with it.
   With what money I had left I would split it between an Ad site for bulk views and an Adsense campaign. I would only use CONTENT SEARCH though to save from flushing all of my remaining money away and to get more focused clicks.

7. Hello Calvin,
   First let me say thanks for the opportunity to enter such a wonderful contest. Now as I read your question, you say “Your Membership Site” which I translate as I already own a membership site and I have $100 to start and must make a profit (sales) in 15 days.

   Based On if I already owned a Membership Site:

   Day #1. First I would carefully choose a proper and short domain name using namecheap.com which is the site all my names are registered at which does cost $8.41 and has free whois gaurd protection. Next I would go to HostGator.com and get a reseller account which is $24.95 a month. (please note that these are not copied I actually currently use hostgator.com and namecheap.com and have for years).

   Now my server is setup and I have my domain name with my membership site installed, I have $66.00 left in my budget. Since I need products to sell my membership I get out the trusty old text editor and I write up a few brand new fresh articles. These articles would be based upon advertising since I already have knowledge about how to advertise, thus I can write my own eBooks and Articles. If I get stumped or have writers block then I can always look at goarticles.com for some “Ideas”. Once I have these articles wrote then I can compile them into an eBook (PDF) to create my 1st ebook.

   Day #2. Today I start out creating a few more articles that will be related to advertising using different methods. My plan is to have atleast 20 articles done today each filled with pure power of information, no fluff or filler. Once these articles are done I then spend some time getting my site ready, I add my terms, privacy, faq’s, and write my sales page.

   Day #3 & 4. Today I want to produce 2 ebooks which will be based upon 2 areas that I know very well. The reason I want to write based on these areas is because that is where the sales will come from.

   - First eBook - This is based on what is called Incentive Freebie Websites (also known as cash back shopping, get a free ipod, and etc). These sites do have referral urls that their members must use to refer users to the sites to make money and the members must complete offers to get cash or a free ipod. Since I have knowledge of this industry and I already searched a few related forums and found out that these people just dont know how to get credits for the offers they do. I decide ok I fully understand how credits work so I am going to write an eBook “Offer Crediting Exposed”.

   - 2nd eBook - I also have knowledge of a 2nd area source and alot of these people just do not understand how they can get referrals to signup. The site is a social network site that pays you based on page views and your referrals page views. So I go to yuwie.com and do some research on their blogs and take the information that I learn + the information I already know and I create an eBook on “How To Harness The Power Of Yuwie.com”.

   Day #5 & 6. Now I have 3 eBooks and 20 articles + I have my wonderful IM Buzz software that allows me to brand. So I brand those upload them, add my articlees in the members area, upload my main eBook on advertising. I double check my site make sure it is ready. I priced my membership access at a low price because the 2 areas I am looking at are people that just dont have alot of money but they are eager to learn. So I set my price at $9.97 because the value of my products are about $1,000. Now first I will set my sights on the Incentive Freebie Website forums that I already researched. I go into the forums and I offer the eBook “Offer Crediting Exposed” as a 100% free download (because when I created the ebook I added my sale pitch and website url). I stick around for awhile and make some related post, talk to a few people and maybe even answer some questions.

   Now I go on over to yuwie.com and I post a blog about how to really make money on yuwie and I give away my other eBook How To Harness The Power Of Yuwie.com as a 100% free download because again I added my website url and sales pitch in there when I created the eBook. I stay around yuwie for the rest of the day maybe making a few more friends, offering my help, and etc.

   Day #7. By this time there is already sales coming in on my site, it may be slow but none the less sales are coming in because what I just offered to people 100% for free is what they wanted. Possibly we could say a realistic number of downloads would be maybe 300 or 400. Out of those there should have been atleast 15 sales at $9.97 a pop. (Ideally for business you really should invest those sales back into your site through advertising, but for the purpose of answering this questions and staying with the budget of $100 I will ignore those sale)

   Day 7 is a good day because I already produced members and sales. Today I want to get my small membership motived so I spend $30 of my budget and have Paypal Mass Payment API built into my payment system that will allow me to pay my current members a commission of all sales let’s say 40%. Since I am using paypal mass payment I can set affiliate payments to be “Instant”. I then decide to dust of camstudio (which was free) and create a video tutorial on “Effective Advertising on a Small Budget” and I add this to the members area and to my sales letter on my membership site thus increasing the value but I leave the price the same $9.97. I then send a email out to my small member base and explain they can now earn commissions and I allow then access to download the new video.

   Now also today since I gave away 2 free ebooks and I had several hundred downloads that helped me create a mail list, why ? Well simple because they had to signup in order to download. This cost me no money because I host with hostgator.com they have many scripts that can be installed from cpanel that you can use Free!!

   So I email these several hundred and and I let them know I produced the video and included it free in my package and provide them a link back to the site.

   For the remainder of day 7 I would probably spend answering support questions to members / possible members.

   Day #8 & 9. I want to reinforce my position on yuwie and the free forum so spend the day on these 2 sites talking with others. Making some post and building up trust and friendships. So these 2 days I spend alot of time on these sites and help others understand that there really are things you can do to help yourself and explain to them that my membership site is willing to help them.

   Day #10. Due to me reinforcing my position and adding another incentive on my membership site + the fact that I am willing to share my profits with the members then more sales would have come in by now. This are still slow as this is just starting up but I would be happy with the results so far that have come in. On day 10 I would again probably spend some time with my members and helping them or answering any questions they have.

   Day #11. I spend today writing op some related articles to my membership site. I be careful and not do any blatant advertising in these article. I make sure they are very informative and then ofcourse add my authors signature with my contact / website info at the bottom.

   I open up Viral Article Publisher (which was free) and I start submitting these few articles on the article sites. Since most site require a login I take the time and use a non-main email but a good email address and I register for many of the sites that are related and I submit.

   I also open up IM Buzz Blog and find me some related blogs that rank pretty high and I start socializing on these blogs offering help and informative information that is related to my membership site.

   Day #12. It’s back to helping my current members and also sending them out a newsletter. My newsletter is not a sales letter but a informative newsletter explaining additional information on advertising that my articles and eBook have not covered. I do this because it reinforces them and gets them motivated to go out and get more members to join the site.

   I go and check on my blog post, the forum, and yuwie to see if I had any messages or new friend request and I take care of those.

   Day #13. Since it has been a few days I want to go back and reinforce my position at the forum and yuwie so I spend this day on these 2 sites making more post, maybe adding onto my blogs, answering questions and just be all around helpful to those that are wanting help. Remember it is about trust and I want to spend the time on these site to get that trust from others.

   Day #14. I look at the numbers on yuwie and I see they have several hundreds of thousands of members. So I decide to go and look up their ad prices on Adbrite.com & Adengage.com and see they charge about $35.00 for a 7 day ad. Since I have $36.00 left in my budget I decide to purchase an ad. This ad will generate approx. 300 clicks and since I am offering what these members want then my conversion rate should be pretty good.

   For the rest of day 14 I answer any questions my members have and check on the other sites to see if I have any messages or new friend request.

   Day #15. Ok well today is payday I spent time on just a few sites, built up a mail-list and a membership base and made sales. After all this work I decide it is time to take a break on day 15 because it is time to recharge. So I shut the computer off, lay down and take it easy for the day.

   I relax and enjoy what I have done so far and get ready for the next half of the month because for the next 15 days I will want to expand onto more related forums or other social networks. I also want to take a % of the profit that I have made and reinvest that into my site in the form of advertising.

   While I am relaxing I think of what other products I could produce to add to my membership site to increase it’s value. The reason why I want to do this is because I have created my own products, which are fresh and new and other sites do not have what I have. Thus making my membership worth alot more than others that just have free PLR or free MRR stuff that they got from JV’s …

   But that about sums it up and I hope that you really have enjoyed reading this Calvin and that it helps others as well.

12. Assuming that the $100 in capital is used for promoting the membership site, I would put the $100 in my pocket and spend it on my girlfriend instead. There are a ton of free techniques you could use.

    If you have a hosting account and domain name, then write one good 600-1000 word pillar article and upload it to your site. Then go to SocialMarker.com and bookmark the the article on your site as well as your affiliate link to the membership.

    Do a Squidoo Lens and link the article and your membership site. Don’t forget Craigslist, MySpace, Facebook, etc. The point is to get the original article posted on your site indexed by Google.

    Once your original article is noticed by Google, re-write your article another 24 times or so and also make it shorter (300- 500 words). You can get free content spinner software to do this. JetSpinner.com is very good at this. An upgraded version costs $47 but the free version works very well also.

    There are free article submission scripts (just do a Google search) and submit the re-written articles to the top ezine and article directories. Each article you submit will be unique so there will be no duplicate issues.

    In between article submissions, do some blog commenting on related posts. Join Warrior Forum and DigitalPoint and make 2 or 3 posts every day. Make sure you put your membership link in your signature.

    Don’t have hosting or domain name. Do what Dave Guindon did. He made a video on how he markets other peoples products on Google Video and eBay at the same time without a website. Apply this to promoting the membership. To see what I mean go here ===>

    There are a lot of other things you can do for free, but since there are only 15 days, the above plan can be done quickly. The hardest part is writing the article. That may take a whole day. The rest should be quick.

13. First is buy a Domain name approximately $10.00. Optionals can build a website, Get one easy and reasonable with templates.(One example GoDaddy there are some that offer it free but be careful with some of those sites)You can use the niche’s site for nothing. Pick a niche that offers free items to get the attention and to build your list.
    Second enter free social sites, post blogs on these sites. This also help list building.
    Third publish more blogs (Google account free)to help brand yourself, make sure they are published, and of course key words are very important Google, Alexa, Delicious sharing bookmarks,to name some. So far my investment is $10.00 leaving a balance of $90.00.
    Fourth Join in house advertising sites that are real and deliver what they promise, some run about $30.00 per month. Balance $60.00.
    Fifth You must have a capture page one that really gets there attention from the start, one that will leave them wanting to know more. You can get those free also, just make sure once again it is real.
    Sixth Be sure to check back on your blog comments,Social sites blogs comments, Group forums are a good way to build a list. Either be part of groups or make your own group membership.
    Seventh be HUMAN and not mechanical show interest, be helpful. Put the remainder of money into your product.
    I have done this and it worked. I was a newbie and
    computer illiterate, I was not on a 15 day time frame but if a person works hard they could accomplish anything.

    First of all, thanks for the opportunity that you are giving everyone.

    I’ll try to keep it short and to the point.

    I would use a domain I currently have not being used which would save domain and hosting startup costs.

    I would then go to a couple of forums/sites where other marketers are looking for partnerships and/or affiliate opportunities. If needed I would use some of the money to pay and have a special offer posted to have them join the site and become ‘the only’ members who will receive affiliate payments from the site. I’d start with a “sign up bonus” for the grand opening top referrers with a 24 hour “Grand Opening” mailing for their lists and then pick the winners. I won’t go into details of the bonus plan other than to say it would take $80 of the budget.

    Once the first affiliate(s) has won the bonus the site will have a starting membership base. Membership payments received could then be used to offer a ’second chance’ bonus to the same group of “starting” affiliates to generate another round of advertising by them sending announcements to their lists and also another chance for them to pick up some more quick case.

    This will allow the extra time I would need to use the multitude of available tools to place the site in the search engines, and spread the word to other affiliate gathering sites, while the current affiliates get the site started with members.

    If lady luck is with you then the membership site should be off to a good start and be growing quite nicely.

    At least that’s what I would do with the membership if I were to somehow win it!

15. I do not have a website. I am new at looking at the internet or any of it’s terminology. Although I do not know any of the things that the other people have wrote about, I am a willing and persistant learner. I know that I can set up a mini-site for under a $100 and if I had this package I would work hard to make a go of it. With five children still at home, my money is very limited so what I work on is crushial that I spend it on the right things. I had already put the viral offer you put out in my favorites for the future because I didn’t have the money now.
    I know it would be starting from complete scratch, but if I won this package, I would do all I could to make it work so I could do more for myself and my children.

18. First off I would like to say thank you for the opportunity you are affording. This actually does two things as it gives you great pre-launch exposure and anticipation which is a great marketing aspect.

    However, in addition it allows you to give back to two people who may not ever possibly afford a membership site with the quality you are presenting such as myself. I know I am shameless in that plug, however, truthful. I have been doing internet marketing for just about 1 year now full time and I am finally starting to make a living from it although not to the degree to be totally successful from it.

    With that being said though, I know I will make it as I not only have the determination but a positive attitude in which I will never quit as long as it takes. You see I like everyone else has skeptics around me who tell me to go out and get a real job and that I will never make it working from home.

    However, one thing I learned from my mother is that time passes by whether you choose to sit and do nothing or whether you choose to continue to better yourself no matter what position you may be in life. I follow this motto very closely as I am continually learning from all sources on how I will be successful.

    For example, even if I do not even make it into the decision making of your contest I have already learned some pertinent information from a couple of the answers given from contestants who I can tell by their responses have a lot more knowledge then myself at least at this point of my career as an internet marketer.

    OK now to specifically address your question. Assuming that the site was already built with a particular niche in mind and a domain name then the 100.00 would go towards promoting the site. I feel that I am competent to be able to do this as I am unemployed now which is actually what made me decide to get into an online business and have to be able to do this with this kind of income anyhow.

    Step one: I would invest in a good hosting company in which I know of a couple. However, I would ensure it has the reseller capabilities so that my members received free hosting as part of their package. This would be approx 25.00 per month.

    step two: I would invest in a good autoresponder as I have already attempted to use some of the free ones on the internet however, not reliable and if I can not be ensured that my customers/friends get the proper communication then it is not worth saving the few dollars a month. This would cost approximately $20.00 per month.

    Step three: OK now here is the most difficult part and that is exposure, advertising and driving traffic to your site and doing so with only $55.00 left. At this point I would join a giveaway as a contributor and pay for the upgrade which is typically $20.00 as I find this to be the easiest way to build my personal list. If you consider that to be linking with JV partners then please ignore this step.

    Step four: Whether or not I have joined a giveaway I would still create a content rich informational e-book that has to do with my specific niche and give it away for free. While doing this I would also allow those customers to be able to give it away to their customers therefore, starting a viral effect.

    Step five: I would join several free traffic exchanges. The reason why I state free ones is that I realize that I do not have the money to invest here right now but I have the time to manually surf and build up credits to be able to advertise my site.

    Step six: I would also blog in several social sites as well as this is an effective way to advertise. However, with this being said I would spend my last $55.00 on software needed to create audio and video messages. Text advertising is no longer as effective as using audio and video. I feel that I learn better when using several sensory outputs therefore, feel it would be better for my customers as well then. At the same time I would also submit articles to different ezines as this would also help with backlinks and assist with SEO in addition to the promotion of the site via my signature line.

    Step seven: at this point I would have at least a few paying customers for my site therefore, I would take that revenue and reinvest into the business. With this being said, I would purchase software that can submit both articles and videos to several sites at the same time and cut down on all the manual work I would have been doing by doing so individually.

    Step eight: By this point I should be having more interest in my membership site so I would dedicate 50% of the revenue into going back into the business. With these additional funds I would purchase software to help me start working with affiliates then approach them and offer 50% of all reoccurring monthly fees so If I were charging $30.00 per month then $15.00 per month would go to the affiliates. Now this may not seem like very much but I would push the issue that they would get passive recurring income and not just a one time sale commission.

    In summary at this point now I should have a viral e-book out, blogging in place, several articles submitted as well as videos for advertising. I would now take some of the revenue and pay for the upgrades in certain traffic exchanges depending on their rankings and amount of exposure they have therefore, I could put the additional advertising of the site on autopilot. Which leads me to my final step when I finally make it to this step.

    Step nine: Next to last step - if successful then repeat process in a different niche as if something works then do not try to fix it. I feel it is very important to have multiple streams of income so if and when something fails you have other opportunities to fall back on.

    Step ten and final step: take the revenue from one site to live off of and help pay my bills and use the revenue from the other site to put back into the business to be able to continue to learn how to improve as well as being able to afford to attend some of the live conferences for networking. I feel that this is extremely important as even though this is a business it is also about meeting new people and creating friendships and working partners for life. To me the best part of being successful is not only taking care of your family but also helping other people AND enjoying doing it at the same time.

20. I would repeat a few of the steps above - that is, get domain, hosting, and a simple membership script. Produce the first month’s unique content - a couple of audio files should do, using the free Audacity recording software.

    Then I’d go to PayDotcom.com and set up the first free affiliate program, and set the affiliate commission at 75%. Then I’d go to the Warrior forum, pay $20 to post a WSO, and sell the first X memberships for 9.95 a month, with regular price being 14.95 or 19.95, and mention that the WSO includes extra special commission rates. I’d also spend the $37 to buy a membership to the War Room (and pray to God I wouldn’t get too distracted by the multiple ideas to make ungodly amounts of money you’ll find in there)

    Total time spent, 1 day. Total money spent: $75

    No matter what niche I pick there’s going to be people invovled in it over on the WF, and my WSO and discounted membership price is simply to get affiliates who know how to create a real buzz on my list. A WSO should get at least one signup from someone in my niche with a reasonable list to promote it to, and the 75% recurring commission for sales will make it an attractive proposition for them to promote it.

    Regular commissions available inside the member’s area for anyone who decides to sign up for the affiliate program from inside the membership will be 50%, not 75%; still attractive, but not giving away the farm like the WSO.

    For extra special power I’d offer 10 free memberships at the 75% commission rate to the War Room, assuming Allen approves the posting in the private forum. That ought to get me at least one super-affiliate who can bring in more members with one mailing to his/her list than I can do in a month of PPC advertising on my own - yes, it’s a back door way to get a guru JV going,

    Using the 75% commission rate and $19.95 memberships, once all fees are done with I should have roughly $4 gross per member per month.

    Assuming 100 members, I should have $400-$500 coming in to me - the bulk of the incoming money go to affiliates. (100 members is an example for calculation purposes.)

    If it’s a content membership, I can use $250-300 or so and outsource content creation for the next month, leaving a net profit of roughly $150.

    Not much money for a lot of work, if you aren’t thinking of the long term value of having the gurus sell you their best customers in that particular niche - now they’re *my* customers, and my *next* product in that niche is going to be promoted directly to my customers with no JV partners needed.

    Or maybe I’ll just go to the War Room and see if anyone is offering 75% commissions for promoting their new mebership site to my established memership site…

21. The question implies that I have No list, No JV Partners, only $100 Capital but that I have a niche membership site. I have to assume, to make the challenge even more interesting, that the site is NOT yet up and running.

    First thing, in my opinion, is to double check the membership site name matches the keyword research I will already have carried out. I again go to http://adwords.google.com/select (You will need to sign up for a Google Account if you do not already have one) to check or find relevant low competition keywords. I may also go to http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ (also requires sign up) to check the Yahoo keyword relevance as well.

    Once I have selected a suitable keyword or keywords, I will want to ensure the domain name contains those keywords to ensure the search engines will find it quickly. I now need to register the domain name and pick a hosting company. I use http://www.Hostmonster.com and http://www.bluehost.com for all my needs at the moment as they currently offer unlimited storage plus free domain registration. The hosting service is just $6.95 per month. They offer many other benefits such as $25 free Yahoo credits and £50 free Google credits as well. They also have a free site-builder programme to obviously build your site.

    One point to make is that both hosting companies are owned by the same person – Matt Heaton. I do not see this as a problem as he obviously does what he does very well, in my opinion.

    So, we now have a registered domain name (free), a host with unlimited storage and gigabytes of bandwidth, a free site building tool to set up our website plus $75 worth of free PPC advertising, all for $6.95 per month.

    I would now upload the niche membership site to my host using the free Filezilla FTP program which I got from http://www.filezila.com . Another free FTP client can be found at http://www.smartftp.com .
    Once the site is up and running and I have checked and double checked that everything works, I now need to turn my attention to driving traffic to the site. I am a big fan of the Social Networking Sites such as http://www.Facebook.com and http://www.Twitter.com but there are hundreds of others that should not be forgotten. I need to sign up to as many of these Social Networking Sites as I can and submit comments etc.

    I also need to write a number of articles to submit about my site to the article directories, such as http://www.articledashboard.com and many others you can find by doing a Google search for Article Directories.

    Perhaps more importantly, I would want to search the search engines for forums relevant to my niche so that I can a) Watch and learn what the participants problems are, so I can offer a solution and b) Make comments myself to try to establish myself as a knowledgeable person but also to get my “signature on the sites to further promote my business.

    Ok, at this stage, I would be looking to post articles for the first 10 days to the article directories and the forums plus to nurture the Social Networking Sites to build a following. I would also be looking to use the free £75 advertising bonus from my hosting company.

    My next step would be to produce a video to put on http://www.youtube.com about my niche membership site. There are other video hosting sites that I would want to use such as, http://www.vidilife.com and http://www.tinypic.com to name just two.

    The process of creating a video can be quite simple but, as I cannot afford to use a professional media company, I could use the free screen recording software from http://camstudio.org/, however, it is sometimes possible to get the “real Deal” Camtasia 5 on a 30 day trial from http://www.camtasia.com . This video needs to be good enough to impress visitors so I would also use the Free Open Office presentation software from http://www.openoffice.org/ to enhance the video look by adding presentation slides. If you can get the Camtasia software, the possibilities are enormous.

    The next step would be to produce an eBook that could be used as a giveaway for the optin page that could be set up on the existing host free of charge. I would also consider an email course to persuade potential members. Of course, I now need an auto responder service to send out my emails and to retain email addresses. I would do this with the free services at http://www.getresponse.com/ or http://www.autoresponders4all.com or http://www.freebielist.com/autoresponders however, it would possibly be better to use the paid services e.g. http://www.aweber.com as soon as income allows.

    All of the above, is possible to achieve within 15 days and would bring us to the position of steadily building traffic and making some membership sales.

23. Firstly, I love you guys and your products and always like to see what new information you have for me in my email. Your question pretty much sums up my situation. My list is small and not targeted to a PLR membership site, I have no JV partners. Here’s is what I’d do.

    Wow. I just got my hands on all these really cool, new and original products that no one has seen yet in my new niche membership site. I have 15 days and $100 to get it rolling. Time for action!

    I’ll get a domain name and hosting from 1and1 for $1.99 per month for the first three months which includes a domain name (total due today is $17.94).
    I’m going to start a wordpress blog focusing on the niche membership site. I’ve come up with a targeted domain name so I can have SEO benefits later. On my SEO optimized blog I’m going to advertise the two professionally written e-books to grow my list. These blog ads and a call to action in the closing of each post, will link to my squeeze pages I received in my package and then to the sales letters. For now I’m not going to put any unrelated advertising on my blog (no adsense). I want the reader to click on my links and products only. I’ll use paypal and/or clickbank to process orders.

    Next I’m going to write ten, 400 word, keyword targeted articles that focus directly on my niche membership site and post them to ezinearticles, articlesbase and searchwarp over three days. I don’t want to get banned at the article marketer site by listing ten at once. I’ll rewrite these articles a bit and post them to my blog. I’ll add my massive ping list to my blog to make sure it gets sent out to the world. I’ll use any other articles that come with the program after these are listed.

    I’ll make five short videos myself, where I’m a talking head and I will discuss the benefits to a user of joining my site. These get posted to youtube all at once and then I will make posts on my own blog every other day or two with these, and add some original written material to each video posts. The youtube posts get key-worded too.

    Next I’ll go to squidoo and create a lens or two, then go to hubpages and do similar. On my facebook, linkedin, tagged and twitter accounts I’ll add the appropriate info about my new project. Then I’ll use a social bookmarking tool and post info on dig, technorati, propeller, slashdot, stumbleupon, twitter, mix, yahoo, reddit. All this is to draw people to my blog to get more info about me and the product. I will ask a friend or two to review my sites and post my keyword targeted blog pages to their SB accounts.

    I’ll make a page at google sites and invite my friends to take a look at what I’m doing. Then ask them to spread the word. Since I live in the Midwest and there are a lot of people who just lost their jobs there may be some unique interest I can stir up other than the internet. I’d also target the wahm (work at home moms) group with forums since I have some exposure to that group already.

    I’d also set up the 600 free hits per day system with the traffic programs. Perfect for this kind of product.

    I’d be reviewing any information I could get for free to see if it’s targeted to my niche and modify it and use it on my blog to get people to join my list, like Jonathan and Calvin do. I’d use this in my autoresponder series too.

    Gee, I still have $82.04 left. And my blog is in place and my articles are getting approved. I’d begin researching and finding targeted keywords to build the adwords campaign. I’d very carefully run the adwords campaign with the remaining cash. It is targeted to the search network only, starting at low bids. I’d run my ad groups evenly to track the best performers and test them to improve results. I’d send people to the squeeze pages and then the sales letter.

    Well, with all the ideas on this blog anyone who wins or buys your system will sure have a boatload of ways to promote their product/membership site. You can’t lose!

    While you need a list and JV Partners to promote your stuff, you will not make much of a list in only 15 days. Finding JV partners, good luck if your a newbie, Their usually not interested in promoting anything for anyone that’s new to what their doing. The best way is through advertising. Create a nice ad focusing on your niche and keyword research and use Google adwords, using all $100 budget. Advertise for free on as many sites as you can, such as… free ads sites, banner exchanges, myspace, create a blog and submit to the blog directories, Write your own or use an article you can use and make it your own by editing it and submiting it to article directories… etc. If your a newbie, you should use Google to find all your sources. Just occurred to me! How are people paying you for your memberships? If you don’t have Clickbank, get an account with them using part of your Google ad costs and offer affiliates high percentage to promote for you as Clickbank has 1000’s of affiliates promoting sellers products. You should also offer an affiliate program on your sales page of which would be Clickbank related where the affiliate simply adds their clickbank nickname to your link. Offer high percentage payouts of 75%, you can always lower your payout to newcomers later on, those already promoting still get the higher percentage so you will not get complaints from them. Don’t forget to let all your friends, family and co-workers know of your new biz. Also, your sales page is what will determine if you make sales or not. Get friends and family to critique your site and make sure it looks prfessional. You will not be able to have a professional create your sales page on a $100 budget, so do this best you can unless you are able to make a deal for percentage of sales or barter somthing in exchange. Offer free gifts and low introductry membership pricing for first 100 members or next 15 days only, whichever comes first. Another thing to do is create a signature ad for your site and use it in all your emails and forum posts, you did join some forums did’nt you?

    First of all, English is not my main language. Forgive me for any mistake in my comment.

    For me, $100 capital is a very BIG amount of money. I just paid my 5 hosting and domain provider service about $15 per month.

    To answer this question, I’ll do the following things:
    Day 1:
    a. I’ll looking for the free product (PLR). In reality, I had had more then 4 PLR sites as my source. I just take it and make some necessaries edit on them to fix my niche topic needs.
    b. Setting my website according to the niche topic and let it freezes for the rest of this day 1.

    Day 2:
    a. Back to my new website. Make quick research and adjust it, if needed.
    b. Setting my autoresponder script and create the content based on PLR content. It’s the time ti re-edit and re-write the PLR content to make it fix with my own ideas and niche topic.

    Day 3:
    a. Upload all of my new site file and data. Than, try it myself, especially on its responder and appearance.
    b. Make some final change before promote it to the world.

    Day 4:
    a. Write two or three articles about my new site and submit it to my articles portals services, such as Triond, Shvoong, and Helium.
    b. Setting an AdWord account on Google for this new website for the $30 maximum cost.

    Day 5-and-so-on-till-day 15:
    a. Monitoring this new site. If any mistakes or litter failures, I’ll edit it quickly.
    b. $30 can be the deposit cost on my new site.
    c. $40 can be use to my own needs and blah..blah…blah…

    This is my spontaneous ideas when trying to answer your question. I hope, in real online business, I’ll do my best part…better and better again.

29. Hi, This is a unique and creative promotional idea -I will file this away for future use.

    Back to the question at hand “If you were to start from scratch with NO list, NO JV partners in your niche, and all you have is $100 capital, what would you do to start making sales for your niche membership site within just 15 days?”

    I am assuming from the wording of the question that the niche has already been researched and decided on.

    Step 1: (1-2 days) Find free (or monthly content membership site) PLR content that can be rewritten to make an EBook and a 10 part Ecourse.

    Step2: (2-3 days) Write the EBook (making sure to include links to the membership site) and ECourse.

    Step 3: (1 day) Set up a WordPress blog with several features; Adsense, Affiliate Products, and EBay affilliate auctions. These would bring in some additional funds to be used for further development. But most importantly, the blog will have a sign up for a free ECourse on the niche topic. Start building a list from the begining. Cost is $20/month for Adweber autoresponder. The sign up page will promote the membership site and capture the email addresses of prospective subscribers. Also give away the EBook on the blog because it contains links to the membership site.

    Step 4: (9 days remaining) Bring traffic to the blog/membership site. Join related forums and post relevant posts that include a link to the membership site in the signature. Set the auto autoresponder to reply to the growing list with informative content emails and alternating sales pitch emails.

    Step 5: Continue to post to the blog and remember to ping after each posting.

    Step 6: Sell the ebook on clickbank providing a generous affiliate payout to encourage affilliates to promote the Ebook (containing membership site links).

    Step 7: Promote the Ebook/membership site on several of the social networking sites (like facebook and twitter)

    Step 8: Post a Sqidoo lens

    Step 9: Make a small video about the niche topic that contains links to the membership site and post it on UTube.

    There should be some change left from the starting $100 even if a domain name and hosting are not in place at the start of the project.

    Here’s my 14 step-by-step plan for what I would do if it were me…

    STEP 1: Purchase my domain name using the promo code “chill3” to purchase it for just $7.15 from http://www.GoDaddy.com. Even if we were no limited by our $100 budget, it would be intelligent to use keywords to pick the domain name to get better search engine recognition from Google. The domain name will do double duty since we will also use it for our FREE wordpress blog from http://wordpress.org/download/.

    Step 2: Pay $8.58 for monthly shared virtual server use to host my domain name through Godaddy at https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/hosting/shared.asp. Total spent so far is $15.73

    Step 3: Start to do keyword and longtail keyword phrase research using the FREE Google webmaster tools at http://www.google.com/webmasters and sign up for the 7-day FREE Wordtracker trial https://www.wordtracker.com/trial.

    Step 6: Using my niche type I would search the first 3 pages on Google, Yahoo, and MSN to find out who is in my niche who does NOT also have a membership site.

With only left $84.27 at this point it seems like a lot to pay for just graphics, but these graphics will play a key role in helping to attract potential high level JV’s to get my foot in their door especially in case the content for my membership site is not completed yet AND give my potential customers a look at what they will be getting when they join my site. Total spent so far is $62.73.

    Step 7: Create a mind map for FREE using http://www.Bubbl.us in order to create a visual for my marketing plan

    Step 8: Using the killer graphics AND mind map I can now successfully be armed with strong influential weapons to contact these potential JV’s that I found through Steps 4 and 5 without forgetting to use WIIFM (“What’s In It For Me”) as a core strategy to show them how THEY would benefit from joining up with me and offering my membership site to their lists/customers.

    Step 9: Once my blog articles have been put up I would create for FREE a Squidoo lens at http://www.squidoo.com, a Hubpages Hub at http://www.hubpages.com since these websites offer a high Google page rank (PR) in order to help dominate the search engines.

    Step 10: In order to capitalize on the blog articles that I already wrote, I would use RSS feeds to get more FREE backlinks and to capture more search engine positions using the high PR feeds at http://www.avangate.com/articles/rss-submission-directories_58.htm

It keeps me online 6-8 hours a day just to get credits, so I can send traffic to my affiliate sites. It would be nice to be able to relax a bit and not work so hard to make a dollar.

33. First, we need to make sure that our Niche Membership site really provides great value for our potential members. It’s no point to put up a membership site that has poor quality as people are not stupid. If the quality is poor, members will drop out like a stone after we had worked hard to lure them in.

    So once we have a good quality site, we need to have a sales page that tells people exactly what they’ll be getting inside the membership.

    With only $100 capital, I will use both Article Marketing and PPC methods.

    By hook or by crook, I have to sit down, do keyword research, read other people’s articles and then write my own 400-500 words article every single day for the next 15 days.

    So everyday, I will submit one article to EzineArticles, GoArticles, IdeaMarketers, ArticleDashBoard, ArticleBase, ArticleClick, Squidoo, HubPages, and Zimbio.

    So at the end of 15 days, I will have at least 15 articles in each of the article directories and community sites mentioned above (all linked back to my membership sales page of course).

    Next, to encourage people to sign up, I will allow them to try the membership for 30 days for ONLY $1. If the membership is good, I’m sure most people will stay as member after 30 days.

    Next, I will need to do more in depth keyword research for my PPC campaigns. The PPC ads will look something like…

34. Wow what a lot of great ideas.

    So from your statement

    that last part tells me I basically own a niche membership site with no list, no JV partners and only $100 to spend. Looks like I’ve got the equivalent of an ice cream shop in a desert. Great product but no customers and only $100 to get some.

    So I’ll assume that the domain is transferred into my name and if no hosting included I’ll take one of those 1 cent deals. I’d also sign up for aweber as it’s a pain to change autoresponders at a later date - say $20 for first month. So I’ve now got $79.99 to spend on getting people to sign up for my great membership site.

    1. Find out where my potential customers hang out. Research my niche and the competition in my niche. What do my potential customers want? What can I do to attract them? Maybe look at what they buy on eBay, what they search for with the use of freekeywords from Wordtracker,good keywords,google etc. Check a few social sites for ideas. What videos do they watch on You Tube etc.

    2. Depending on results my research I would then develop a plan of how I would attract them. What I need to do is build that responsive list, attract JV partners and attract potential members who will love my site and thus promote it as well.

    3. So to build my list I would write articles and submit them to article sites, build a review site, build hub pages and squidoo lens to help get my site up in organic listings. Create some free blogs on blogger etc. Uses widgets from one blog on another blog so that I create a one way linking structure as widgets also help organic listings. Idea is to get people moving from one site to next until they sign up as people rarely sign up on the their first exposure.

    4. Offer JV partners 100% for any signups to my membership site as they just love 100% deals. Use direct approach (phone and ask them) and advertise on Warrior Forum for JV partners. Latest membership scripts have JV partner facilities built in so I’ll asssume mine has this facility. Deduct say $10 for phonecalls to give me a balance of $69.99.

    5. Grab a few of my artciles written in step 2 to produce a viral or rebrandable ebook which I just give away and allow others to do same. Use free tools like Open Office to produce the PDF ebook. I’ve got some rebranding script but no too sure if it’s available for free or not. So deduct $7 just in case leaving $62.99.

    6. Now by this stage I would be exhausted but hopefully would be receiving a few click thoroughs and fingers crossed one of the potential JV partners would have a spare slot in his calendar to promote my site.

    7. Check the plan to see if things are going to plan or not. If yes relax. Maybe spend some time relaxing on a couple of the social sites keeping an eye out for clues on where to find potential members. If no then try to work out why. Maybe more research, approach more potential JV partners, articles maybe need to be more targetted. Maybe allow a limited number of people to sign up for free for say 7 days - free trial idea. Allow members to become affiliates or just get a bonus for referring others.

    8. If I get to day 12 without any sales for my niche membership site then I have $62.99 to spend on PCC advertising so that I reach my target of making sales within 15 days.

39. My approach using only $100 would be this:

    1. Register domain and hosting, cost of $14.05

    2. Build a list using existing resources on hand such as the IM Buzz products I already have access to.

    3. Set up autoresponder (free PHP script so no cost) to address new signups and begin emailing promotions for the new membership site.

    4. Start driving traffic to the membership niche site through use of forum memberships, traffic exchanges etc, networking sites, online classifieds, my space, facebook, squidoo etc.

    5. I would also take to some offline marketing for the site using an ad such as “Work From Home” or Make Extra Money Online” etc. The most effective I have used are ads in publications such as Penny Saver or The Flyer, costing about $29 for a month running but includes inclusion on their website which would place the ad nationally.

    Total spent: $43.05.

    6. Spend $16 at Staples or Office Depot to get 2″ Vinyl lettering packages (quantity of 2) so that I can place ad for website and opportunity on back window of our van. (have the luxury of traveling US19, one of America’s most traveled roadways!)

    Total Spent: 59.05

    7. Purchase Glossy Post Card Stock at Staples @$11 for quantity of 600 cards. Would create a nice post card promoting business and website to be distributed in grocery stores, convenience stores etc focusing in areas where demographic would produce people looking for business opportunities.

    Total Spent $70.05

    8. Using open source affiliate php script, would also offer an affiliate program with a percentage earned for sales of memberships to those that refer.

    9. Promote affiliate program using affiliate program directory’s and also through means mentioned in item #4

    10. Purchase bulk supply of RW CDs @ 19.75 for 300 disks. On these I would have audio and visual presentations using resources already on computer such as sound recorder and Microsoft Powerpoint and set the CDs so they are autorun and autocheck for connection to internet. Label with eye catching graphic using LiteScribe

    Total Spent: $89.80

    11. The remaining $11.20 I would use for 2 McDonalds Value Meals while I travel to distribute CDs & Post Cards to truck stops, rest areas, convenience stores etc, and even better, get exposure with newly created signage on back window of car.

    That’s about it. I am confident that this method combining the use of offline marketing, would afford me sales that would allow me to expand this plan regionally, and duplicate it in other metropolitan areas.

    Here is my plan:

    1. Find a niche. I’ll start with finding a niche 9or two) with products I can promote at Clickbank, CJ, paydotcom, and other similar sites. Cost = $0
    2. Keyword research. I’ll use Google adwords free keyword tools. Cost = $0 (if you already have an adwords account or it will cost you $5 or $10 depends on the currency of payment you use when you sign up)
    3. Register a domain name and sign up for hosting account. Cost = approx $20 for the first month.
    4. Start writing articles (about 20 to start) by myself mostly to fit the budget of $100.
    5. Post 10 articles on my site and send 10 articles to articles directories sites like EzineArticles, etc.
    6. Repeat the process.

    Process should take about 1 week per site and with this I can build about 5-6 sites.

    I know this may sound like nothing new and spectacular but ideas do not have to be complicated to works

    Great info here.

    For me, I will spend the $100 on creating content after I have completed my niche research. That will probably give me about 10-20 pages of good content which I can rewrite. After that, I should have about 30-50 pages of quality content.

    With that, I will spread the content around my niche content site, squidoo, hubpages and article directories. Making sure that they are linked to each other. That will take me about 7 days and ensure I have some mid to long term traffic.

    Next I will focus on social bookmarking and some link building to the sites I have created for the next 8 days. This include forum posting, blog posting and link directories. All free : )

    Ok this is posted for those newbies that may still feel a little lost.

    Hosting - Not all host are created equal, it really does matter who you host your site with and cheap host are usually just that “cheap”. I have been using hostgator.com for years and I know many many others that do also. Reason being is they have no downtime, they have nobody hacking their servers, support I give a 8 out of 10. The most important of all, which many host dont do, hostgator servers are fully Up-To-date. So when deciding to get a server I urge you to go with a trusted one such as hostgator.com

    Domain name - Pick something short, simple, and easy to remember. Using keywords are fine but remember the shorter it is the better someone will remember it. Also if you happen to register a .com also register the .net to match with it. If you only get the .com and your site becomes popular then someone else registers the .net and will try to piggyback traffic off your .com domain name.

    Scripts - Not all scripts are created equal either. Most free scripts are not secure and can be hacked so be careful. Not all scripts have security measures coded in them. Especially most of those you see at the jv giveaways. Always make sure you have a secure script that no bots or hackers can get access to. Ask a professional developer if you need to.

    There are many more things but I felt it needed to be said for those newbies to help them understand more in detail.

45. Great comments James for newbies. It’s s real jungle out there and I must have tripped all the trip wires myself. It’s not what happens to you that counts but how you deal with it. Experience is a great teacher.

    I’m feeling like a newbie myself with such a great package on offer.

    I agree with you about hosting. Even the hostgators have problems but their backup is well worth the extra dollars over free hosting or a cheap lifetime Ebay one. I’ve tried quite a few myself and when it came to choosing hosting for my new membership site Hostgator was the one for me.

    Also agree about domain names - you need something easy to remember - something that just rolls of the tongue. People soon get jack of trying to remember difficult domain names - leave that for passwords.

    Yes you can get a free autoresponder script that you upload to your website but just one spam complaint can not only bring down your autoresponder but your domain, hosting and even your internet connection. I prefer to use a professional autoresponder service.

    Agree secure scripts are desirable but can be expensive to create and maintain for newbies remembering that the senario is not that far from reality for most newbies. How often have you seen it advertised that it cost you virtually nothing to get started in internet marketing?

    First I would go to prweb.com and post a free Press Release that will go out to 50,000+ media contacts and all the search engines for free. I would also do the same at other free press places like…

    Next I would write a review for the niche I’m in and throw my membership site name in of course as the place where things can happen. Naturally the next thing to do is get a buzz going with a blog at Bustablog.com which will do advertising for you and provide additional cash to add to your $100 budget,
    and of course you drop your membership site name
    in the blog, and the review I did on my chosen niche, placed in the blog as well…etc.

    Then you will want to start leaving signatures in as many forums related to your niche as possible. A link directly to your membership site info page will do it.

    At this point I would now also create groups in yahoo and myspace again around the same niche idea and only to drive people to the membership site.

    At this point I still have my $100+ dollars for advertising so I would experiment with adsense….and ad placement using it as more leverage.

    I’ll stop there but I could still add multiple leverage situations to enhance exposure.

47. Wow! I may have read a couple of the longest posts of all time. Well what I personally would do with limited funds is either hire a professional Adwords consultant for $100. Or, I would join Traffic Geyser for video distribution. An expert or video are the very best chances that I would have to get noticed and get traffic to a good converting sign-up page.

    Several things are assumed here:

    Therefore, domain name and hosting are already in place.

    Now .. Since I have been around the Net for quite a while and do “everything” myself, I think a little outside the box from most people. It’s clear from the other posts that there are a lot of “guru” followers here and are merely giving regurgitated information touted by so many. Please understand that I don’t mean to slam anyone. I do mean to show how I plan to make money without all the touted “do this”, “do that” and Web 2.0 garbage.

    Since I adhere to the “keep it simple” rule, here is what I would do.

    I would first lock the door. Advise loved-one’s that I would not be available for a while that I would be working on a new job and not available. I would then turn off the phone. (BTW this works .. for real)

    Since I already have my niche membership site then I am comfortable that I “know” a little something about it. I would then sit down with my trusty spiral notebook, mechanical pencil and my computer.

    “MY NICHE” is not important at this time. The “BIGGER Niche” that mine is a small portion of “IS”.

    My plan is to use the “bigger” niche as leverage to focus on the “smaller” niche. I know this may seem a little different than what you’re normally told.

    Now .. I have everything in place to research my butt off about the “bigger” niche. I will make notes in my spiral notebook, as well as, my notepad and wordpad. I will create a folder in my browser favorites to bookmark sites allocated to this bigger niche. I would also create folders for the smaller niches as well. This will prevent me from having to manually note any site URL .. just the name.

    Now .. if I’m a savvy marketer, each time I have four or five of these sites located … I will use Firefox and open them all in seperate “tabs”. If you know what you’re doing you can bookmark these and open them ALL “at the same time” anytime you need.

    I would then RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH

    Forget everything at this point but collecting information. Remember .. everyone tells you the internet is all about “information”.

    After I had time to spin my wheels for a little while, perhaps an hour or two, I would then make my “marketing outline”. I would decide on five(5) niches within the bigger niche that are different from my own. Heck, I already know everything about “it” already. I would try to identify five(5) that are different yet CLOSELY RELATED. [IMPORTANT]

    Now I research .. research .. research .. each one.

    For each of those five(5) niches I would create:

    1. 50 teaser articles to be seperated and submitted to “different” article directories. (Perhaps 10 articles in 5 directories.) The resource box for each article I will create later.

    2. 10 “REPORTS” of 15-20 pages each crammed full of down-to-earth and valuable information. (Hint: This can be done first and portions used as articles.) There will be two(2) reports for each sub niche.

    3. 5 “REPORTS” of 30-40 pages of pure informational gold. One for each sub niche. (Hint: This can be done first and step #1 and step #2 created from it.)

    [At this point I've spent "nothing but time".]

    After all reports and articles are created I would then create a squeeze page for each sub niche and put them in sub folder on my membership site. I would make a decision whether or not to purchase a domain name for each one at this time or not. Probably not. Not yet. My thinking on this is because I want to spend as little money on this as possible in the beginning.

    (Alternate Plan: Go ahead and purchase domain names relevant to each sub niche and point them to the sub-folders on my site. Being a savvy marketer, I knew to host my membership site on hosting that allows multiple domains .. if not unlimited even.)

    I would now return to my “articles” and create the resource boxes for them. I will need five(5) resource boxes. One for each sub-niched article. Remember the “50 teaser articles”? That’s ten(10) for each sub niche.

    In the resource box would be a link to get a free report. That’s a step #2 report. It will direct everyone to my squeeze page for the report. That now means I will be compiling a list of subscribers for FIVE(5) different sub niches. OK .. see .. I didn’t waste a bit of time. I’m set to conquer five new niches after this is done. Everything I do MUST move me forward. No time just wasted.

    I now return to all the step #2 Reports and include a blurb about the report created in step #3. Tell how great it is and explain what they will get. What it will do for them and what they need to do to get it. SIMPLE AS THAT .. Did I forget to mention that it’s going to “cost them” for that report?

    Yep .. $15 to $20 for that one .. perhaps less IF I really need some income NOW.

    I would now “TAKE A BREAK” !!

    After the well deserved break, I would now create five(5) One-Time-Only type pages for each of the five(5) sub niche’s. However, being different, I would not say it was an OTO and that they should bookmark the page for future reference. [Perhaps even have a button that would create a shortcut on their desktop for their use later.]

    On these OTO type pages I would show from two(2) to all four(4) of the OTHER step #3 sub niche reports. I would offer them the opportunity to purchase the others at a DEEP DISCOUNT. This will add even MORE MONEY to the coffers when they come to download their purchase.

    Now I need to create my download pages. There will be ten(10) in all. One regular “one report” page and one “multiple report” download page.

    I now need to create five(5) sales pages. Simple and to the point. What’s in the step #3 report. What that’s going to do for them. and .. The simple thing they have to do next. Yep .. hit that good ole purchase button.

    BUT WAIT .. Here’s where it gets good.

    In each step #3 report will be an offer for a discounted membership. I didn’t mention that earlier for a reason. I now must decide what I’m going to offer them and add it to my step #3 Reports.

    Everything I’ve done at this point is to (A) Make Money and (B) Get paying members on my membership site.

    OK .. I’m doing good so far.

    I now go to PayDotCom (Perhaps Clickbank later, but not at first. I would attempt to locate some “GOOD” affiliate products that compliment either “each” sub niche or “all” sub niche’s. I would then attempt to contact the owner with a special offer showing them how my idea will MAKE THEM MONEY. [No, I'm not going to tell you what I would offer. I'm not giving all secrets away. Come up with your own offer. Just make sure it "will" make them money.]

    If there are no takers for my “offer” .. not a problem. Let me say that again. NOT A PROBLEM

    I will, however, sign up as an affiliate and note all the info in my handy dandy affiliate managing software as well as make written notes in my little spiral notebook. [Hey .. systems do crash .. I know from experience. That's why I "write" information down as well as back it up on second hard drive. I have five of these "filled" hard drives on my desk right now.]

    I will now forget about the affiliate stuff. Yep, I will now FORGET about the affiliate products.

    What I “will” do now is go into my Cpanel or Vdeck and find my autoresponder that is already paid for. I’ll make sure I understand how to use it. (Perhaps I’ll comment on this later, perhaps not.)

    At this point I have:

    50 Articles
    10 step #2 Reports
    5 step #3 Reports
    5 Squeeze Pages
    5 Sales Pages
    5 OTO style Pages

    At this point I “could” add a promo to each step #2 and #3 Reports for affiliate products but I will not. Here’s my reason why. I do NOT want to redirect my potential new “membership member” away from me. Not at all. I’ll promote affiliate stuff to them later. Especially the ones that subscribed to my lists but didn’t purchase the step #3 Reports.

    I know, some of you are wondering about how I’m going to collect the subscribers information. SIMPLE … I now set up an account with Aweber or GetResponse. I use the FREE option to start with.

    [Sidenote: If really strapped for time and money, you can cut this marketing plan down to ONE sub niche and use the FREE account at GetResponse until you make a few bucks and pay for regular account. THEN kick in the other four sub niches. See, I try to think of everything when marketing on a shoestring. Alternative is to look for free 30 day usage for a regular account.]

    Now .. we’re just about ready to kick things off .. but not quite.

    I will now create a nice, concise email that I can “copy and paste” or “template” in my email software. It is to advise the recipient that I have a FREE Report available for their subscribers.

    That done ..

    I now do two important things. I RE-READ each item I have created. I’ve been away from them for a while now and able to see them in a different light. This is important. Correct any mispelled words. Rewrite sentences that may not seem clear. Etcetera

    That done .. I now take all the Reports and convert them to Word documents. It’s alright if you don’t have MSWord. Just download “openoffice” (its’ FREE)and accomplish the same thing.

    I then go to Adobe and use the free trial PDF creation option for my five(5) step #3 Reports. I want them in PDF format. (An alternative is to download all the FREE modules for “pdfedit” and create them. However, you will be somewhat limited.)

    Seems we’re ready to go .. if I haven’t forgotten something. (Forgive me if I have. I’m doing this in this little submit box instead of doing like I should and write it out first and paste it here. Oh well.)

    I will now upload all my step #2 and step #3 Reports to their respective sub-folders on my membership site. (Which may or may not be under a domain name.)
    Being certain I know exactly where they are.

    [Sidenote: It's worth it, IF you have time, to download and install a secure digital delivery system in order to protect your downloads. Use free one's available until you can purchase better one.]

    I will now go to PayPal .. (Or whatever payment processor you prefer.) and set up everything in order to set up the purchase buttons on my sales and oto type pages.

    Once pages completed, I would upload them to respective sub-folders.

    I will now insure that each article had the correct link to the correct FREE step #2 Report in it’s resource box.

    Next I will pick five(5)article directories.
    I will submit ten(10) articles to each directory being careful not to submit an article to any directory but ONCE. Important !!

    Now .. remember the email .. I would send an email to every marketer I know in each sub niche that will disseminate the information to their subscriber list without a hassle. Yes, they do exist. The email will announce the FREE REPORT (your step #2 Report)and the link to download it. Be sure to be gracious and respective in your email requestes.

    RECAP: Articles Submitted, Emails Sent

    Now it’s time to play. We’ll worry about autoresponders and such junk after the money starts to come in.

    However, IF you feel up to at this point, you can create a series of autoresponder articles and promote them. Not me .. I’m gonna go play for a while.

    I now go and visit all the forum sites in my big niche that I found during research. I spend an allotted amount of time on each one participating with good knowledge based help or comments. Remember, I’ve done the research. ~smile~

    Now guess what’s in my “Signature” box on the forums.
    Yep, you guessed it, links to my FREE step #2 report(s)

    Remember .. people LOVE free stuff.

    That done … I get a fresh cup of coffee … and visit my favorite internet marketing forums and relax.

    Perhaps I’ll even ask for a critique of my sales pages there. Get the idea?

    One thing I haven’t mentioned .. but didn’t forget.

    AFFILIATE SALES … you decide if you want to market entirely yourself or split the profits.

    Me, I’d rather have 1000 affiliates to pay than 10 personal orders or my product.

    Remember, if you decide to share, that there needs to be a link to your affiliate program on your pages .. as well as, mentioned in your step #3 Reports.

    That all means more time spent. The object so far is to “make sales to your membership site”. You should aleady have some type of affiliate set-up in place for it.

    So, we’re focused on two things. Make a little money from the step #3 Reports AND “direct traffic” to the membership site. Most important .. doing it within fifteen(15) days.

    Time to rest. (Sorry if I missed anything .. just fill in the blank)

    This scenario will work .. and will work within fifteen(1) days.

    [Sidenote: If you feel you JUST CAN'T WRITE .. well .. Remember the hundred(100) bucks? .. Go and have everything written for you. Make a good deal and specify time restraints.]

    I never entered such thing before but just thought I would do it for fun

    This is a method I have shared with several people and it is THE method that I used to jump start my IM career. This was implemented on my first project and pulled in $10k and 5000 subscribers in a month (and remember its the first attempt in IM).

    Now, this is what you need to do.

    1. Prepare a really really good report/ebook that you will be giving away. make sure it is really worth at least $47 or something. Write something you like, do some research, pull in resources.

    2. Negotiate with partners. For this you need to look for all the other product owners/website owners that are targetting similar type of customers/users/visitors. Here is what you need to tell them.
    - offer them a review + link in your ebook which you are giving away for free - thus A LOT of exposure for them. (of course its your affiliate link)
    - offer them free ads in the download area as well.

    in return , you ask for
    - sponsorship of some form from them (copies of their product)
    - ask to tell their customers/users when you launch
    - tell them if they offer coupons, you will be happy to add to the downloads/members area too

    3. install a viral script for your site. there are cheap ones and expensive ones. so choose wisely. make sure to have a tell-a-friend script in hand too.

    The setup will be

    First page - your squeeze page

    Second page - after they opt in, display the tell a friend script to request them to tell more friends

    third page - if they skip or tell a friend, wish thank you and tell them to confirm their subscription before they can download

    fourth page - when they confirm their subscription, tell them a one time offer. if they skip, send them to download page, or else get them to pay of course

    finally - send them to the members area.

    you can organize a lucky draw during the launch period with the sponsored products.

    your income will be from the affiliate links in the book (i would think you would have 30 or so products in there). also from your OTO which you should source for a product which you can sell for $17 or $27.

    your partners will be happy to promote because other partners is doing the same and everything is targetting similar audience, thus exposing them to the right people

    Trust me, this works and still works

52. Newbie Advice Round #2

    Some more great information for those newbies.

    Communications - Now some marketers love their auto-responders, and nothing wrong with them. Personally myself I prefer the old school way and send the emails when the notion hits me. Either way is fine though and you should try both ways to see what is best for you. Just remember when communicating with members or your list to send emails every so often that have nothing to do with sales of a product. Email them a normal hello how are you doing today email. Nothing says I care more than an email asking your members how they are doing, trust me it works wonders.

    Profits - When you start making a profit make sure to always take a % of that and put it back into your site. Maybe purchase some advertising, or maybe do an upgrade of your site, add more fresh content to your site, and etc. It is very important for long term success to always take a certain % and set it aside for your site.

    Pay It Forward - When you get stable and start generating a decent income then it is time to give a little back. In the last few months I have purchased a ceiling fan and shipped it to germany for someone, sent $55 to someone else by paypal, sent another person $200 by paypal, A little girl need school cloths and materials so I went to wal-mart picked up some stuff boxed it up and shipped it out, I have used a pre-paid credit card and purchased a 2 pizza’s for 2 other people that live in another state because they was hungry. Now I dont say this to boast or anything, I am just a regular guy and nobody special. Point here is though to help out others when you are able to do so.

    There are still many more things but it is my hopes that these advice post will help the newbies more.

55. Mine would be a humanitarian campaign! A “LIVE” internet social campaign! That’s what I’d like my “niche” to be. We do it all the time at our laptops, exhange money, services with TOTAL strangers! I know it’s all the rage to market online…and all but what about “participating” actively with PEOPLE ? ….after all there are still HUMANS behind all that “WEB2.0 “energy” and make it come alive.
    I would begin by spending my time (3 days ) enlisting a “pay it foward” sort of philosophy ,campaigning in my immediate neighborhood both the internet and with “real people. With retailers people cruising the malls utilize the anonimity of the internet and TURN it INSIDE out! <- important ingredient( approx 2 days 6 hours each day)to give out as MANY “buttons” tey can be just buttons maybe have a word or two on them, that would have to travel across te USA and further BUT ONLY by mode of transprtation - ground transportation!….. and only out through the kindness of “strangers!” . Drivers ( what ever mode of transportation( bicylce,motorcycle…etc from any walk of life young or old..no matter the ONLY clause….woud be - they could only “transport” the buttons from “stranger to stranger” onward and foward to the final destination. This would be seen daily whether “hour by hour” or “person to person” exchanges through the internet and the buttns would get further along on the journey from “stanger to stranger” would be the ONLY requirement drivers (individuas or commercial).The buttons, 1lb. of buttons (that’s ALOT of buttons ,worth maybe.99 on ebay. These buttons would have to travel from “hand to hand” …”stranger to stranger” and travel the whole USA within the time remaining o the 2 weeks! I would say that would “brand” me in some way and that would also give my business a “twist” and it would only cost me a few dollars..and the exposure would “multiply” beyond the money..Marketing to me seems like it’s all about 1- branding 2- giving people something they feel good about having, sharing, or participating in making them feel good about themeselves and with the sense that they are involved in something bigger than themselves…it’s EXCITING to be involved in. It’s not all about money it’s about the feeling, being a part of something more, making everyone get involved and be able to express and be involved and feel important. I would Squido the journey as itchanged hands via phnes and all the msern means of comunication peope have access to, cell phones, laptops….. any means available. It’s all about getting people EXCITED……that’s GREAT marketing, getting people involved and participating.     WOW, after reading through all the entries for the contest, i would say
    that this is all GREAT information that would have taken someone (like me) hours and hours
    of fact-finding time wading through numerous ebook & tutorial sources, wikopedia (lol) and info-scouring the web, for example, and here it all is in one glorious blog…and for FREE for that matter.

    now forgive me if this “technique” has already been posted and i didn’t see it, but this is what i would
    do if i only had 15 days to intially see some profits (with no list, JV, etc.):

    to get your niche membership seen by the masses quickly-

    in a nutshell, the one PAID thing i would do is find a writer whose specialty/expertise is primarily that of…writing press releases. that’s it. the $100 would go to basically the writer’s fee and
    having a press release sent out. you can use any of the free services that will send out
    your PR for free, but you want it out fast so go with a paid one. this is the only thing i would
    not “scrimp” on. (well maybe that and good web hosting service.)

    the only thing is this, i would not have links go directly go to the niche site. rather, i would link
    to a squidoo, hubpage, or related-article page. from any of these pages you can setup an AR form, etc.

    everything else you need to utilize, to work in conjunction with your PR release, can be found for free online- e.g. autoresponder, hosting, memberships to social networking sites, jv giveaways, rss, forums, article directories, etc.

    i could go into further detail, but this would span 75+ pages and put you to sleep, lol…

    *an assumption has been made that one knows how to utilize the above products/services to some degree.

    Great idea to make your contest available and so viral!
    If I had $100 to start, and no list, no JV, and had to begin making sales by day 15, this is my plan of attack.
    Following my research of competition and keywords, I would set up some free ads, buy some hosting, get a free autoresponder with one that I could buy into when the money flows in, I would begin following up my tasks to social bookmarking sites, send out PR to the the sites that handle that. My salescopy is presumed to be done by this time before starting.
    By setting up some free blogs, squidoo lens, and hubpages for free, I can then implement some further interest to my site.
    There will be follow-ups to present, some back end info, etc., but this is the basic plan to begin making sales quickly.

60. $100 to start and me still a newbee First thing I would do is get started in writing articales aonce I had 5 ready, I would get them on to ezine articles go articles on as many sites as possible, then I would consantrate with a blogg on blogger with the articles
    that would be something I could do for free,
    Then I would proberbly look at what it would codt to get some traffic from listdotcom or listcube and start sending free information infotmation out to try and get visitors here, Then making up some sig files to visit and post on as many forums as possible, If there was enough left in the kitty I would try to post in Ezine`s, Then look for as much free ads sites I could post to, maybe try safelists giving Free information away as possible to also get some traffic there, I would do as much as possible even if I was working at it for 16 to 18 hours a day, Thats what I am doing now trying to get myself started,and have been doing for about 6 months, only with your program I don`t think I would Have to do that for 6 months not with everything fully ready to go,
    I would get on my hands and knees to grovell for the chance of owning a free membership to your once in a lifetime business in a box like that, At my age it would be like a message from god, Good luck to the winners whoever you are.

    And Still Some more great information for those newbies.

    Creativity - Always think outside the box, some people will tell you to copy what joe blow does because he made $100,000 in 24 hours. Well, this may be true to a certain point. What you should really do though is learn from joe blow and then improve on what he did. Always do the unexpected, that is what gets people’s attention.

    Marketing Tactics - There are a good many people that use fake counters, fake count downs, and fake number counts. All in the hopes of forcing you to make a decision “Right Now” to buy. Please do not follow these tactics.. they are old and played out and most people know they are fake. If you are going to offer a product for a limited amount of time or to a limited amount of people then be real and truthful about it.

    Yours ~vs~ Theirs - Don’t always think that you must deal with PLR or MRR products that belong to someone else. First and foremost you should be offering your members high quality products and not all of those PLR or MRR products are high quality. Come up with your own products to offer your members also even if you need to pay someone to help you make these products.

    This concludes my advice post and I would like to thank Jon and Calvin for allowing me to make these post on their blog. I hope my advice post are very helpful those newbies.

    With only $100 in my pocket, I would have to design a plan of attack, where this $100 would be stretched to utilise resources and take the to the limits within 15 days.

    My first step would be to, do some research on what it was I was going to use as my niche market. I would then use various sites like Google, Clickbank, even eBay, MSM, and Yahoo, to see what it was people in my niche market are purchasing.

    My next step would defiantly have to be, securing a domain name and hosting. Cheap professional web hosting or Low cost web hosting services can be found for under $10 a month; all low cost web site hosting plans include at least one free domain name registration and 30 day money back guarantee. Without a website ones business or marketing efforts would be fruitless. Now since I have only 15 days in which to make sales form my niche membership site, the 30 trials would be a wise decision. When creating my Capture Pages, I will pay close attention to Keywords and meta Tags, making sure that I get the highest ranking in the search engines.

    Once this has been established I would then source free squeezepage/capture page/ flash page programs that offer free eBooks to giveaway to members who sign up and confirm their registration to my offer page promoting my chosen niche product. Or I would attempt to create my own capture page, making it unique so it stands out from the rest, by utilising my 30-day free trial membership. I would add bonus giveaway using PLR’s and re-brandable products to download, which I would have received free from giveaway campaigns or from subscribing to programmes and newsletters. Who doesn’t like free stuff?

    Of course with all of that in place, a list is unmanageable without an autoresponder. I would search for a free one of course or one that offers at least a free 30-day trial. This is where I would have control of my list and where I would communicate with people who have purchased my product or opted in to receive a free product bonus.

    My autoresponder is where I would communicate additional products and provide support, coaching, and mentoring to my active members, all the while offering them the opportunity to unsubscribe from my list if they no longer wish to receive further communications or promotions form me. This would streamline my efforts in maintaining my list ensuring that those who were with me were responsive to each and every newsletter I broadcast.

    My thank-you page would be presented to members after confirming their registered interest, and this is where I would sometimes have an OTO - One Time Offer, depend on the product being promoted in the original pitch.

    Now to get attention and drive traffic to my capture pages, I would to utilise as many resources as possible that provide a free service within reason of course. Registering with too many will cramp your style and take up valuable time, so it is important to see just how you can benefit from these services. These would be in the way of Blogs, eZine Articles, Traffic Exchanges, Social Networks, YouTube & Google videos, Viral Software, Viral eBooks, sig file, Classifieds, Solo Ads, Traffic Bars, etc…..

    I still have my $100, 15 days are up and profits for my marketing efforts are paying off and pouring in to my PayPal account.

    With business profits growing, my original $100 will help pay for the Autoresponder after the 30 day trial is up, but because I know my autoresponder is something I cannot conduct business without, I will take out a yearly subscription, taking the difference from my profits, which will save me $5/mth in the long term.

66. Wow! What a comments! No, Contest!

    Okay, while reading your contest’s question, I have to assume that you want us to find out how we spend that $100 in advertising to get sales by the 15th day!

    So, here is how I would go about and spending that $100 capital that I have.

    I will focus on 2 things: the first one is trying to get as many affiliates/jv partners to promote for me. The second thing is to get free traffic.

    Okay, let’s talk about how to get affiliates/jv partners to join you. I must agree with some of you that if you are a newbie, it is pretty hard to get jv partners or affiliates.

    Here is how I am going about to get affiliates/jv partners.

    1. Open a clickbank merchant account. This will cost you $49.95
    2. Follow all the step and making sure that you are listed in the marketplace. There are 100k of affiliates in Clickbank. If I can only pick up just a few affiliates to help me to promote, that I can see lots of traffic to my site. Here is how it works. If I only get 100 affiliates to promote and each of them just sending me 100 visitors, that is 10000 people seeing my site. That is free traffic.
    3. Search google for affiliates sites or jv partners forum.
    4. get in the forum and be active. But don’t start to pitch for them to join my affiliate yet. I will do this on day 7 or 10.
    5. this method will pick up a few more affiliate and partners.
    Note: in order to recruit more affiliate and partners, I will boost the commission to 75% or as high as possible. And even offer the contest and giving away up to 100% commission for top affiliate or partner.

    That is one way of me getting free traffic. That is the first focus point.

    The second focus point is to get free traffic from as many site as I can such as: squidoo and all of those community web 2.0 sites, craiglist, free advertising sites and such. This part is really time consuming and frustrated. But it brings free traffic.

    And oh, I still have $50.05 left over! I will try to get some traffic from Adwords.

    So, that is all there is to it!

    Hey, hopefully I win. But I don’t think so! The competition is very fierce and some of your guy are giving much better comments than I do.

    Anyway, my focus is to get free traffic especially from affiliate and jv partners. These are the source of QUALITY traffic much better than you get from Adwords.

67. Before I answer this question, let me state my assumption.

    I’m assuming that you already have a niche membership site and you can make some modifications to your website to accommodate the marketing plan that I’m going to tell you.

    Ready? Here we go……

    If I have a niche membership site, with no list, no JV partner and only a hundred bucks……

    1) I’ll go to Clickbank and see what kind of ebooks people are buying in my niche.

    2) I’ll think of a topic that complements (not competes with) the popular niche ebooks sold in Clickbank.

    What I’m going to do is to turn that topic into a special report that people are willing to buy.

    It is important that you don’t write something that compete with the popular ebooks sold in Clickbank. You will see why later.

    3) Since I only have $100, I’ll have no enough budget to outsource but to write the report myself. So I’ll spend 2 solid days to write a report on the topic that I’ve researched.

    I am planning to sell the report for just $7.

    4) On day 3, I’ll spend 1 day writing a powerful sales letter to sell my new report.

    5) Day 4 is a technical day. I’ll have to spend the whole day to integrate the sale of the report and the one month membership trial together.     6) Day 5 onwards is all about marketing.

    First, I will go to Clickbank and find all the best selling authors in my niche. I will then contact them with my JV offer.

    My JV offer is that I will give them 100% commission for the $7 report that they sell. I will also give them 50% commission on all the future sales generated from my membership site if their leads stay on my membership site after the one month trial.

    Since my report actually complement the ebooks they are selling, there is a high chance that they will be interested to promote the report to their customers and lists.

    Next, I’ll go to the top bloggers in my niche and contact them with the same JV offer.

    With 100% upfront commission and 50% recurring commission in the future, I’m pretty sure that a handful of the bloggers in my niche will take up the offer.

    7) Finally, my job is to overdeliver to my members so that they will stay on my membership site for as long as they can.

    The entire plan actually costs me $0. But if you have $100, you can spend it on outsourcing certain tasks such as system integration.

    1) Niche membership site up and running with proper domain name and hosting. There is enough content to keep the subscribers busy for 15 days.

    2) Have access to an autoresponder service.

    3) There is a free 3-day or 7-day trial of the membership site.

    Day 1:
    Buy a pdf rebrander software and write a report that is rebrandable. This cost $37 from the IMBuzz creators.

    Remember to mention the free trial offer in the report.

    Day 2:
    Setup squeeze page and download page for the free report. There are free videos available online that show you how to do this.

    Another way is to visit the latest giveaway event and find those squeeze page generator and templates.

    Put up the squeeze page into a folder in your webhost.

    Day3:
    Populate your autoresponder with 5-7 follow up messages.

    Remember to provide instructions on how to brand the report with their affiliate link and the amount of commission they can earn just by passing on the report.

    If affiliate program not setup, go to Paydotcom and get a free account and setup the affiliate program. The first product listing is free.

    Day 4:
    Still got $63 left. Consider spending $57 to buy real-time co-reg leads from Listbuilder Pro.

    I know this is controversial and there is a potential of getting spam complaints. But it can work if you know how to do the follow up correctly.

    Day 5:
    Set up a daily marketing plan. List down the marketing tactics that you want to use to promote your free report.

    Concentrate on those tactics that you are familiar and confident it will works.

    Due to time constrain, concentrate on 1 or 2 methods to generate traffic.

    Day 6 - 15:

    Work the marketing plan everyday. Review and finetune the plan according to the result achieved.

69. I have to assume that I have already determined my niche. Here are the steps I would take:

    Firstly, I would do my keyword research using free tools. I would use KW Buzz, Google’s Adwords KW Analysis, wordtracker.com and keyworddiscovery.com. The objective is of course to find long-tail highly-searched KW’s.

    I would then run as many of these KW’s as possible through MSN’s KW analysis tool that measures the probability of the searcher making a purchase when he types in those KW’s. The URL is http://adlab.msn.com/Online-Commercial-Intention/Default.aspx. This is to further fine-tune my KW list to ensure maximum profitability.

    From my KW list, I would determine the domain names that are most KW-centered within my niche. I would buy a reseller a/c with hostgator because I will use that to buy those KW-centered domain names that I want. In other words I would use the reseller a/c to sell to myself. Reseller a/c costs about $25 per month and each domain costs about $10 from namecheap. Let’s say I buy 3 domains. That means I would have spent about $55.

    I would spend 1-2 days on the above KW research.

    Secondly, using my KW list, I would find content in line with my KW’s. These contents may be in any form - pdf, articles, blogs, videos, podcasts etc, as long as they have connection to my KW’s. With these contents, I would:

    a. download, modify and produce my own product

    b. buy selected MRR or PLR products (of course I would not spend heavily, probably less than $30). I may bundle these together to create a hybrid product, if possible

    c. modify and recycle these contents into my own content for my website, membership gifts, blog posts etc.

    d. make videos or podcasts out of the content (this is optional depending on time but I would definitely do it time permitting)

    e. any other thing I can think of with the content.

    I would spend about 3-4 days on content/product generation.

    Thirdly I would spend the next day or two creating my websites using NVU. I would use my 3 domains and create a membership site, a blog cum branding site and a squeeze page. My autoresponder form would be in all 3 sites. And each site links to each other in a 3-way link system.

    My blog will have its main page filled with constantly-updated content promoting the membership site. It will be done through the blog itself and as many sub-domains as I can create. I will promote my membership site through various ways for example:

    a. Offer a great product (from my content/product generation step) for free provided they sign up for my membership site.

    b. Sell a great front end product and offer my membership site as a bonus with the first month free

    c. Sell a great front end product and offer my membership site as a value-added OTO

    d. Give a $1 trial of my membership site for 7 days followed by regular monthly fee thereafter.

    All these promos of my membership site will be on my sub-domains. In addition, the squeeze page site will gather leads and direct visitors to the membership site. I would also try directing the visitors to the blog thru split testing.

    After a week or so, all these would have been set up. I will use the remaining 7 days or so to generate traffic.

    This will be done through article marketing, Craigslist, US Free Ads, forum marketing, warrior forum, JVs, press releases and social media marketing.

    I would offer my content to list building sites such as new-list.com, use ezine directories such as goezines, bestezines or ezineauctions. I would also search for webmasters who could use my content and request them to print my articles/content etc in exchange for links.

    For press releases, I would use a service like i-newswire.com or pr.com.

    Finally I would go to Clickbank or PayDotCom to look for JV partners and affiliates and give them a good offer to promote my products and membership site.

    Ok, that’s it.

As others have suggested- with a good site, build affiliate buzz especially. Bring people to a capture page for rss/email/ twitter/etc opt-ins to a followup list and (pre)sell the membership site(and/or other appropriate followup offers) from there to get initial members/affilites. And, yes, also use a cheap trial offer.
